Because we have a tier one network, your WebFusion dedicated server really will come with unlimited bandwidth. You can use as much as you like.

Windows or Ubuntu Linux? Your choice

With a WebFusion dedicated server, you can choose the operating system that’s right for your needs.

If you want to use Microsoft powered applications or server technologies then Windows Server 2003 Web Edition has everything you need.If you prefer to go with Open Source, all our Linux dedicated servers come with Ubuntu Linux - providing a powerful, stable platform for your website.

We also offer Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition. This is installed by default on Dedicated Server 3 - you can upgrade Dedicated Servers 1 and 2 at a small cost.

Dell server hardware

All our dedicated server hardware is supplied by Dell to a carefully considered specification.

Dell is one of the biggest names in the server business, with a track record of offering reliable hardware. We don't want to let you down, so we always choose our suppliers carefully.

Xeon processors

WebFusion Dedicated Servers 2, 3 and 4 all have Intel Xeon processors at their heart. These CPUs offer enough power to handle the most punishing tasks.

With an Intel dual or quad-core, each CPU is actually two or four processors in one - so the speed alone does not tell the full story.

Designed to do lots of tasks at once, these processors are perfect for our dedicated servers.

Hardware RAID

All our dedicated servers include hardware RAID to help ensure your important data is completely protected.

Most use two high-performance hard disks in parallel for RAID1 disk mirroring. This provides redundancy so if one of the disks fails, your data is safe and your server stays online.

Root access or fully managed

As standard, your server will be fully managed by us. We apply all updates and security patches as well as installing and configuring software for you.

But if you want complete control over your server, you can opt for root level access. This gives you full administrator access to your server. This gives you complete flexibility and total control, allowing you install exactly what you want.

Please note, if you opt for root access we will be unable to provide a patching and update service or offer any technical support.

All-round power for best performance

Raw power sounds great in theory, but doesn't always work so well in practice. After all, what use is a top-end processor if other components cause a bottleneck?

Whether you choose the Windows or Linux option, this is an automated process which usually takes just a few minutes. Once everything's ready to go, we hand the dedicated server straight over to you.

Dedicated UK IP addresses

Spent a lot of time optimising your site for search engines like Google?

A dedicated IP address is a must - because your website will be the only one using that IP address, your search ranking will not be affected by the behaviour of other websites sharing your IP address.

A UK address may also help your website rank higher when people search for UK sites.
