Your WebFusion Hosted Exchange Account supports both POP3 (Post Office Protocol v3) and IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol) email protocols, to help you manage your emails through your MyServerWorld control panel.
POP3
POP3 is the most up to date version of the protocol that’s used to retrieve email from a mail server. Your WebFusion POP3 mailboxes are where the email you receive is stored, and you can set up each email account exactly as you want it – create the email addresses you want, and make sure they are accessible to the right people.
IMAP
IMAP is an advanced protocol which gives additional flexibility over POP3. Using IMAP, you can set up folders to sort the mail you receive more efficiently, and because your mail is stored on the server rather than downloaded to, for example, Outlook Express, you can access you mailbox from wherever you are rather than being tied to a particular PC.
